Tragovi ptica / Bird tracks

I made this Montessori exercise long ago, but the children love it. It was one of the exercises for children with disabilities with vision, for my final exam for Montessori teacher. Cards are made of two layers of thick cardboard (I have glued one on another); I "dress" the cards in the blue adhesive wallpaper and glued bird tracks of yellow sandpaper.
I heard somewhere that the visually impaired better see the contrast of blue and yellow rather than black and white.
Children are matching cards by touch, and love to work blindfolded.
On the back of the cards are the control points.

Zaljepila sam tragove ovih ptica: vrana, patka, divlji puran, čaplja i emu.
I glued sandpaper traces of these birds: crow, duck, wild turkey, heron, and emu.

  6. Great work! I work with visually impaired children and I have to say you did a great job with these cards! It's true that blue - yellow contrast works better for some children. If you have only one visually impaired child in your group, you can always just ask the child what he/she prefers better, which contrast, show some examples and they will find what suites them best. It's a very "individual" impairment, so to say...
I'll use this in work with my kids, love the bird footprints! :)
