Antarktika je najjužniji i najhladniji kontinent s najmanje života, ali ipak jako privlači djecu. S lakoćom su zapamtila sve o Antarktici. U ovom postu pokazat ću što smo radili na temu životinje Antarktike.

Antarctica is the southernmost and coldest continent with the least life, but still very attractive for children. They learned all about Antarctica with ease. In this post I'll show what we've done on the Antarctic animals.

One girl borrowed us a picture book Say Hello to the Snowy Animals!

Djeca su također sa zanimanjem proučila slikovnicu Polarne životinje koja ih je oduševila s različitim prozorčićima iza kojih su se skrivala iznenađenja - zanimljivosti o polarnim životinjama.

Children also found interesting picture book about polar animals. They were delighted with little windows behind which are hidden surprises - interesting facts about polar animals.

Cvijeće / Flowers

Jedan dulji period proučavali smo temu cvijeće (u sklopu projekta o biljkama). U ovom postu dajem pregled nekih aktivnosti.

We studied the topic of flowers (as part of the project about plants) for a longer period. In this post I give an overview of some activities. 

Dijelovi cvijeta kako ih je vidjelo dijete - tučak, prašnici, latice, čaška ili lapovi:

~Parts of a flower as seen by a child - pistil, stamens, petals, sepal:

Perforiranje papira s pribadačom (djeca se ne mogu zasititi ove aktivnosti!):

~Pin-punching (children can not get enough of this activity!):

Hvatanje vrhovima prstiju - plastično i gumeno cvijeće:
~Transferring with fingertips plastic and rubber flowers (erasers):

Djeci je bilo zanimljivo slušati tupe udarce gumenih cvjetova u staklo:

It was interesting for children to hear the dull shock rubber flowers in a glass: 

Grabljenje - cvijeće / Spooning - flowers:

Prenošenje umjetnih latica s kvačicom (ovu vježbu sam prvi put djeci ponudila ovog proljeća, umjesto pincete sam stavila kvačicu kako bi im bilo zanimljivije). Iako je hvatanje latica s kvačicom zahtjevnije nego s pincetom, djeca su se oduševila s ovom promjenom:
~
Transfer of artificial petals with a clothespin (I offered this exercise to children this spring for the first time, instead of tweezers I put a clothespin to make it more interesting for them). Although transferring petals with a clothespin is more demanding than with tweezers, the children were delighted with this change: 

Nizanje plastičnih cvjetova / Stringing plastic flowers:

Proljetos smo ispred naše sobe dnevnog boravka posadili mali vrt (ovo je fotografija u početnoj fazi - kako je kasnije izgledao, vidjet ćete u jednom od narednih postova). Djeca su samostalno sijala sjeme cvijeća i sadila.
~We have planted a small garden in front of our classroom this spring (this is a photograph of an early stage - you'll see in a later posts how the garden looked like later). Children were individually sown the seed and planted flowers.

Izrada vlastite knjižice brojeva sa štambiljima s cvjetom (mala sličica):

Dijete u knjižicu piše brojeve i pored njih otisne odgovarajući broj cvjetića.

~A child write the numbers in her booklet and stamping the appropriate number of flowers next to them.

Australija / Australia

U prethodnim postovima sam spomenula da su djeca istraživala različite kontinente. Ovaj put na redu je Australija. Kao i za ostale kontinente, djeca su crtala znamenitosti i ostale posebnosti vezane za kontinent Australiju:

~In previous posts I mentioned that children have explored the different continents. This time, about Australia. As for other continents, the children drew monuments and other special features related to the continent of Australia: 

Zastava Australije, Opera u Sydneyu, Bumerang, Uluru

Flag of Australia, Sydney Opera House, Boomerang, Uluru 

Most u Sydneyu, životinje: klokan, čudnovati kljunaš, koala

Sydney bridge, animals: kangaroo, platypus, koala 

Mama jedne djevojčice iz grupe nam je posudila prekrasnu i zanimljivu knjigu o Australiji:
Mom of a girl from our class has borrowed us a beautiful and interesting book about Australia: 

Kao i za ostale kontinente, i za Australiju sam izradila kartice za upoznavanje tipične hrane...

~As for other continents, I made cards for the introduction of typical food in Australia ... 

 ...australskih građevina, i...
...famous buildings in Australia, and...

...životinja koje su karakteristične za Australiju.
...animals that are typical for Australia.

Kartice sa životinjama su djeca kombinirala s plastičnim životinjama koje sam predstavila u postu o razvrstavanju životinja po kontinentima.
